Turning information-sharing into a game, a lot of people have been waiting for implement Facebook to implement their version of this.  This could significantly improve the quality of information we consume.  During my interview at Facebook a year ago, I suggested something very similar.  I only hope they implement this to its full potential and not give up on it like they did with the thumbs up/down feedback for newsfeed items.  I still think they need to allow for the categorization of information, e.g., entertainment, educational, important, etc.
